David Cohen

David Cohen is an experienced Criminal Defense Lawyer who was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. After graduating from Delaware Valley College with a Criminal Justice degree in 1997, he obtained his MBA from Eastern University in 2002. David then attended Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School and graduated with his law degree in 2007. In 2012, David obtained his LLM in Trial Advocacy from Temple University Beasley School of Law.

Prior to becoming a lawyer, David was a Philadelphia Police Officer from 1997-2002 and an Army National Guard Mechanized Infantry Soldier from 1992-1998. From 2015-2023, David ran his own law firm focusing on criminal defense, as well as custody matters. During this time, he also served as a Special Assistant Prosecutor for the Chester County District Attorney’s Office and participated in the Montgomery Child Advocacy Project. Further, he served as a Special Assistant Public Defender for the Montgomery County Public Defender’s Office.

Dedicated to constantly improving his ability to defend his clients, David is a member of the American Association of Premier DUI Attorneys and has completed specialized training in NHTSA Standardized Field Sobriety Testing (DUI Field Sobriety Tests).

David loves anime, lifting weights, martial arts, and target shooting. He’s also proud to have an amazing daughter. David played all sorts of sports growing up, with a focus on soccer and football.
