Clinton J. Follette recently received advanced level training, from the American Association of Premier DUI Attorneys, on Unconstitutional Fees In DUI Cases. Clinton received training on a recent Court of Appeals Decision in Tennessee that administrative fees charged on blood draws are unconstitutional and violate due process. Many areas of the Country have similar administrative fees on DUI cases that may also be deemed as unconstitutional and violate due process. Clinton is a native of Grinnell, graduating from Grinnell High School in 2007. He graduated from Grinnell College in 2011 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. He earned his Juris Doctorate degree from Drake University Law School in 2014. While attending law school, Clinton served as Production Editor on the Drake Law Review. Additionally, Clinton spent two semesters as a Student Attorney with Drake Legal Clinic’s Criminal Defense Program and as a Prosecutor in Story County.
Clinton was a clerk at Hopkins and Huebner, P.C. and in private practice in West Des Moines prior to joining Charnetski, Lacina, and Clower, LLP as an associate. Clinton is a member of the Iowa Bar Association. He maintains a general practice, with an emphasis on criminal and family law litigation, as well as probate and estate planning.
