Joshua Valentine

Joshua Robert Valentine recently received advanced level training, from the American Association of Premier DUI Attorneys, on how to fight the results of the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus (HGN) Test when it is conducted inside a patrol car. Joshua received training on the many reasons why an officer cannot properly administer the HGN Test on a driver when both the driver and the officer are seated inside the patrol car. This training was provided to Association Members by Travis Jones. Mr. Jones is an AAPDA Field Sobriety Testing and Breath Testing Expert Member of the Association. Mr. Jones’ office is located in St. Peters, MO.

The American Association of Premier DUI Attorneys has compiled information from Judges, Traffic Safety Resource Prosecutors (the Top DUI Prosecutors in each State), DUI Prosecutors, current Law Enforcement Officers, former Law Enforcement Officers, and DUI Defense Attorneys to determine exactly what skills, knowledge, training, tools, resources, and strategies win the most DUI cases at trial and are also used to get DUI cases successfully resolved for the defense prior to trial.

When people need a DUI Attorney, the biggest challenge is knowing whether or not an attorney truly has the skills, knowledge, training, tools, resources, and strategies that are needed to successfully resolve and win DUI cases. Countless attorneys handle DUI cases. But, only a very small percentage have the skills, knowledge, training, tools, resources, and strategies that are needed to successfully resolve and win DUI cases.

Members of the American Association of Premier DUI Attorneys have received advanced level training on the strategies that win the most DUI cases at trial and are also used to get DUI cases successfully resolved for the defense prior to trial. Members of the American Association of Premier DUI Attorneys also have access to the resources and tools that are used to win and successfully resolve DUI cases and these are resources and tools that only a very small percentage of DUI attorneys have access to and use.

All through his life, Joshua R. Valentine has personally witnessed family members and very close friends endure divorce, child custody battles, bankruptcy, civil lawsuits and even fraudulent criminal accusations. He both saw and experienced the stress such events can place on an individual, and realized that everyone, at some point in their life, needs hope, comfort, and encouragement. In each one of those situations, the person that was best situated to provide that vital support was their lawyer.  So that’s why he became an attorney.  He understands what you are going through—and is here to help you.  The Caulder & Valentine Law Firm, PLLC is focused on meeting your needs and guiding you through what may be the most difficult time of your life.

Before attending law school, Mr. Valentine worked for a law firm focused on record clearing services, including expungements, pardons, and motions for appropriate relief.  The vast experience and understanding of North Carolina’s expungement laws that he acquired has given him an advantage in defending criminal charges, because not only does he fight for the best possible outcome in your case, but he is also continually conscious of the long term effects that a criminal charge or conviction can have on a person’s life.  As such, Mr. Valentine will do whatever he can to insure that his clients will not end up with a criminal record.

Mr. Valentine was born in New London, Connecticut, but spent the first few years of his life in Dallas, Texas, before moving to Rutherfordton, North Carolina in 2001.  Upon graduating from high school, he attended Gardner-Webb University in Boiling Springs, North Carolina, where he majored in Accounting.  Eager to finish school, Mr. Valentine began law school at Charlotte School of Law the day of his graduation from GWU, and completed his law degree in two years (instead of the typical three). During law school, he studied hard and strived to acquire the most experience possible so that he would be practice ready upon graduation.  The opportunities he gained included prosecuting criminal defendants through an externship with the Burke County District Attorney’s Office, defending criminal defendants through Charlotte School of Law’s Criminal Justice Clinic, and interning with Farmer & Morris, PLLC.

Mr. Valentine is blessed with a beautiful wife, Gabrielle Valentine, who is an attorney at Farmer & Morris, PLLC, in Rutherfordton, North Carolina.  In his free time, he enjoys helping with the youth group in his church, playing basketball and softball in the local church leagues, serving in the prison ministry, and spending time with his family.
