Adam T. Spicer recently received advanced level training, from the American Association of Premier DUI Attorneys, on taking advantage of the new NHTSA Manuals and using the golden nuggets of information found in them to win DUI cases for the defense. It is critically important for clients to hire an attorney who has a solid understanding of the information found in an officer’s police DUI training manuals and knows how to use that information against the officer at trail. In the updated NHTSA manuals, there is a variety of information that the defense can use to effectively win DUI cases. Some examples of this positive information for the defense are: video and/or audio evidence should be consistent with other evidence, it is impossible to obtain a legally admissible chemical test result until after the arrest has been made, chemical test evidence is presumptive evidence – not conclusive evidence, and it is possible for a person to be acquitted of DUI when their Blood Alcohol Concentration is above the legal limit. This training was provided by Dave Cox, the Founder and President of the American Association of Premier DUI Attorneys.
The American Association of Premier DUI Attorneys has compiled information from Judges, Traffic Safety Resource Prosecutors (the Top DUI Prosecutors in each State), DUI Prosecutors, current Law Enforcement Officers, former Law Enforcement Officers, and DUI Defense Attorneys to determine exactly what skills, knowledge, training, tools, resources, and strategies win the most DUI cases at trial and are also used to get DUI cases successfully resolved for the defense prior to trial.
When people need a DUI Attorney, the biggest challenge is knowing whether or not an attorney truly has the skills, knowledge, training, tools, resources, and strategies that are needed to successfully resolve and win DUI cases. Countless attorneys handle DUI cases. But, only a very small percentage have the skills, knowledge, training, tools, resources, and strategies that are needed to successfully resolve and win DUI cases.
Members of the American Association of Premier DUI Attorneys have received advanced level training on the strategies that win the most DUI cases at trial and are also used to get DUI cases successfully resolved for the defense prior to trial. Members of the American Association of Premier DUI Attorneys also have access to the resources and tools that are used to win and successfully resolve DUI cases and these are resources and tools that only a very small percentage of DUI attorneys have access to and use.
Mr. Spicer’s mission is to ensure that every person charged with a crime is guaranteed due process of the law and afforded a fair trial. Mr. Spicer’s belief is that jail or prison, especially for minor drug related offenses, is harmful to the offender and society as a whole. That is why he strives so hard on every single case. Our country’s high incarceration rate and the reasons it incarcerates people has motivated me to work hard to protect the Constitutional rights of criminal defendants. Mr. Spicer has a commitment to equal access to justice and has enjoyed serving all the clients whom he has represented and assisted in representing.
Mr. Spicer is driven to work hard by his commitment to the Constitution. The Founding Fathers were concerned with protecting individuals from the Government and that was the reasoning behind the Bill of Rights. The Constitution guarantees people certain rights any time the Government is acting to deprive them of life, liberty or property. Mr. Spicer’s job is to protect those rights and hold the Government to the high burden of proof that is required for a deprivation of life, liberty or property.
Mr. Spicer’s experience consists primarily of work in the field of criminal defense. Throughout law school he worked in various criminal defense offices, both public and private. Mr. Spicer has appeared in California Superior Courts on numerous felony and misdemeanor cases. His experience consists of appearances in courts in the following California Counties: El Dorado, Placer, Nevada, Alpine, Lassen, Sierra, San Francisco, Marin, Sonoma, Mendocino, Alameda, Santa Clara, Colusa, Yolo and Orange counties. Mr. Spicer has also appeared in Nevada in Douglas County Justice Court, Douglas County District Court and The Justice Court for Carson City.
In 2014, Mr. Spicer began handling Juvenile Dependency Cases. This work can be quite challenging, but the chance to help the local children in the community can be quite rewarding. Mr. Spicer has also volunteered my time since 2012 as a Teen Court Mentor Attorney.
Mr. Spicer attended law school at the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. There he was awarded a Certificate of Concentration in Criminal Law. The University’s close proximity to a high number of courthouses and the amount of in-court experience its students receive drew me to Hastings. Following his graduation in 2010, Mr. Spicer was admitted to the California State Bar after passing the Bar Examination. Soon after, Mr. Spicer passed the Nevada Bar Examination and became licensed in Nevada as well as California.
Mr. Spicer’s undergraduate education was at the University of California, Santa Cruz. There he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. Mr. Spicer’s focus was on the topic of economic justice. He finds that this is highly relevant to his work in criminal justice. Throughout his whole life, including college and law school, Mr. Spicer worked as a property manager. Mr. Spicer’s experience handling all matters relating to both residential and commercial properties provided him with valuable knowledge for his practice and life in general.
Mr. Spicer considers himself an avid outdoor enthusiast. His love of the mountains, skiing, snowboarding, camping, road cycling, mountain biking and skydiving has brought him to South Lake Tahoe. These are the special things in life that should bring people together, not the threat of incarceration. So no matter how we meet, Mr. Spicer hopes to share some of these activities with you one day…
