Ken Smith recently received advanced level training, from the American Association of Premier DUI Attorneys, on Unconstitutional Fees In DUI Cases. Ken received training on a recent Court of Appeals Decision in Tennessee that administrative fees charged on blood draws are unconstitutional and violate due process. Many areas of the Country have similar administrative fees on DUI cases that may also be deemed as unconstitutional and violate due process. This training was provided to Association Members by David Ridings. Mr. Ridings is an AAPDA State Ambassador for Tennessee. Mr. Ridings’ office is located in Nashville, TN and his website is found at http://www.nashvillecriminalattorney.com/.
The American Association of Premier DUI Attorneys has compiled information from Judges, Traffic Safety Resource Prosecutors (the Top DUI Prosecutors in each State), DUI Prosecutors, current Law Enforcement Officers, former Law Enforcement Officers, and DUI Defense Attorneys to determine exactly what skills, knowledge, training, tools, resources, and strategies win the most DUI cases at trial and are also used to get DUI cases successfully resolved for the defense prior to trial.
When people need a DUI Attorney, the biggest challenge is knowing whether or not an attorney truly has the skills, knowledge, training, tools, resources, and strategies that are needed to successfully resolve and win DUI cases. Countless attorneys handle DUI cases. But, only a very small percentage have the skills, knowledge, training, tools, resources, and strategies that are needed to successfully resolve and win DUI cases.
Members of the American Association of Premier DUI Attorneys have received advanced level training on the strategies that win the most DUI cases at trial and are also used to get DUI cases successfully resolved for the defense prior to trial. Members of the American Association of Premier DUI Attorneys also have access to the resources and tools that are used to win and successfully resolve DUI cases and these are resources and tools that only a very small percentage of DUI attorneys have access to and use.
Born and raised in Macon, Ken is proud to serve the citizens of the very town where his family has operated its family businesses for generations. He attended Mercer University where he finished his formal education and was awarded his undergraduate, masters and juris doctor degrees.
While in Law School, Ken was selected to represent Mercer University at the Gabrielli National Family Law Moot Court Competition where he and his teammates were finalists. Since law school, Ken remains involved in the Moot Court program and helps its teams prepare for competition, and even coaches when the opportunities arise.
Ken is a trial lawyer and focuses his practice in litigation, concentrating on criminal defense in the Federal and State court systems, personal injury, business law and contract litigation, and consumer debt matters.
Ken’s experience in defending clients, accused of committing crimes, ranges from the simple misdemeanor and petty offense level charges to the most serious. Although he still enjoys protecting the rights of the accused in all types of criminal matters, over time, his practice has gravitated towards a focus on defending individuals accused of driving under the influence (DUI) and felony charges regarding the possession and distribution of controlled substances and/or guns and other weapons.
With a broad range of experience in the courtroom, boardroom and the community, Ken brings a broad experience base to your defense as well as a belief that not every case should be resolved by a plea! If you have been charged with a DUI or other charges, Ken would be honored to stand and fight for your rights.
